BandarAnzali having strategic geographical location, modern equipment and facilities
is the most important and modern port of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the
caspian sea . It is the economic gateway to the central Asia and then to the
world trade through the safest , cheapest and even shortest way in comparison
to ports in south of Iran. This port has considered extensive plans and projects
to promote its capabilities so that cargo handling would be facilitated both
in terms of speed and volume. The equipment of the container yard with modern
facilities and it's expansion, have been taken in to account in the context
of containerization of maritime transportation. The execution of the projects
for the harbor and its breakwaters,
Construction and expansion of standard warehouses for different types of cargo,
purchasing various port equipments, advanced computer systems as V SAT, E mail
and other important projects which have been executed are all sure indications
of realization of the lofty objectives of the port.
Port of Anzali has extensive plans for the acceleration of the movement and
transit of cargo and providing the consignees with more facilities. To this
end, the private enterprises are invited to participate in the infrastructural
plans of the country. It is hoped that the execution of these plans with the
collaboration and deliberation of both the government and private sectors would
have a constructive impact to the flourishing of the country.
