Bandar Abbas is located in the southern Iran, in the northern part of the Hormuz Straight.
The Bandar Abbas port consists of the following;
Bandar Shakeed Rajaee, which is the main port
Bandar Shaheed Bahonar, which is the old port and is for daws and barges as well as naval base
The port is artificial protected by two breakwaters
This huge complex is located 20 Km. West of the Bandar Abbas City, approximately at LAT 27 07' N LONG 056 04' E at the entrance to the Persian Gulf,at the strait of Hormuz and north of Qeshm Island.This port is 40 Km. from Bandar Abbas Airport and 1,563 Km.from Tehran. Shahid Rajaie Portcomplex is linked through roads,railway and airways to Tehran.
